Google cache
google cache - The storage area that Google uses to keep website text and images.
By keeping the latest information that it has about your web page in its cache, Google is able to deliver search engine results pages (SERPs) more quickly, with less strain on its servers and bandwidth.
When software developers make important changes to their websites, they want Google's spider to crawl their new web page as soon as possible, and include the updated page information in Google's index. To see what is currently in Google's index for a particular page, you can examine what's in Google's cache.
For example, to look at Google's latest version of the DP Directory home page - http://www.dpdirectory.com - you could enter the search term cache:www.dpdirectory.com into Google's search box. Note that there are no spaces in the expression that you type into Google's search box. Google will display the cached version of the requested page, along with the latest date and time that Google crawled that page.
