Scottsdale, AZ - August 2, 1999 - Boxer Software has released Boxer 99, a text editor for Windows NT/98/95 that combines powerful editing commands, a consistent and logical interface, extensive configurability, and speedy operation. Designed for programmers, engineers, students and business people, Boxer 99 provides a rich and versatile command set that can simplify even the most difficult editing tasks.

Boxer 99 includes color syntax highlighting, a feature that displays--and prints--source code for popular programming languages in user-defined colors. Users can modify the reserved words and syntax, allowing Boxer to display any language in any combination of colors and font styles. Boxer 99 lets you open an unlimited number of files. With support for file sizes up to 16 MB and line lengths to 32 KB, there are virtually no size limits to the files that you can edit. Boxer also supports multi-level undo and redo. You can even select and manipulate column blocks of text, making it easy to edit charts and tables.

Boxer's spell checker comes with a 143,000 word American English dictionary, and dictionaries for six European languages are available for free at the company's web site. Spell checking and searching can be syntax-sensitive, allowing you to include or ignore text in comments, string constants and HTML tags.

The program's tabbed file interface, split windows, templates and multiple clipboards provide a fast, smooth vehicle for managing Boxer 99's considerable text processing capabilities.
