There are more than 18,000,000 households in the United States in which Spanish is the primary language. With the Census Bureau predicting that, by 2010, Hispanics will be the largest minority group in the United States, becoming English/Spanish bilingual will be tremendously important to educators, business people and all citizens.

Four New Programs Enhance your English/Spanish Skills

(Málaga, Spain) Braser Soft has introduced four language programs that will help English speakers to learn Spanish, and Spanish speakers to learn English:

Spanish Helper v. 2.2 for Windows is an interactive learning program that will sharpen your Spanish language skills. The program's three levels make up a full language course, from entry-level vocabulary and grammar skills through practice in subjunctive and idiomatic expressions. With its emphasis on presenting and testing on the fundamentals, Spanish Helper features comprehensive vocabulary drills rather than unnecessary illustrations. There's even the capability of adding your own vocabulary to the program.

Inglés-Inglés v. 2.1 is designed to help Spanish speakers learn English. Like Spanish Helper, this program includes three modules that cover all of the bases, from introductory vocabulary through advanced grammar.

Spanish Helper for Business v. 2.2 contains more than 9,000 Spanish and English words that are critical to business people. You can add your own words to the list, and use them in the program's multiple choice and fill-in questions.

Léalo v. 1.2 lets Spanish speakers read texts in English with the aid of a dictionary. It is designed to be used by professionals and students who need to read English-language books and journals. Léalo contains more than 30 chapters about English grammar, and includes exercises at the end of each chapter. Unlike the first three programs which are available in either Windows or DOS versions, Léalo is a Windows-only electronic book.
