ClassiFile Software Enables Personalized File Archiving

LaVale, MD - Burton Computer Corporation's (BCC) introduction of ClassiFile software brings a personalized approach to file organization and archiving for personal computer users. With ClassiFile, users store and organize compressed copies of their files using their own keywords and categories, making future retrieval a simple process.

ClassiFile uses unique file storage "vaults" and "drag and drop" simplicity to categorize files containing images, programs, movies, device driver updates -any files the user may need to locate in the future. Standard Windows information such as file name, creation date, modification date and file size are stored automatically. ClassiFile also stores more personalized information in a variety of forms including personally defined categories, free-form summaries and descriptions of file contents, meaningful keywords, and URL to make future searches fast and simple.

Users can create custom searches, called filters, to quickly find files by keyword, category, or filename. ClassiFile even remembers searches so they may be used again with a single mouse click. Storage vaults may be kept on hard drives, floppies, removable storage media, and network drives. ClassiFile can store multiple versions of each file and automatically compresses files to save valuable storage space. ClassiFile operates in both Windows 98 and Windows NT 4.0 environments.
