Second Copy 2000 makes backup operations a breeze!

Centered Systems has released Second Copy 2000, an automatic backup utility for Windows 95/98/NT/2000 that makes backing up your important files a breeze. Second Copy 2000 works in the background with little impact on your system's performance. Simply tell Second Copy which files you want to copy, where and when you want to copy them, and forget about it.

Second Copy 2000's setup wizard helps users define different profiles each indicating different sets of files and rules. These profiles can be organized in groups by different categories such as daily backups, weekly archives, accounting files, etc. Setup wizard also assists the user in setting the frequency of the backups, including specific days of the week, hours of the day, or any desired time intervals. Files can be stored on any local fixed or removable disks, zip drives, CD-RW's, as well as on storage devices on other computers across a network. Second Copy 2000 backups can span across multiple disks.

Other features include PKZip compatible compression, file synchronization, and the archiving of up to 25 earlier versions of files. You can ignore files older than a certain date, and set zip file compression ratios. You can run any program before or after running each backup operation.

Second Copy 2000 comes with an enhanced Zip viewer. For added security, the compressed files and customized settings can be protected using encrypted passwords. Second Copy 2000's built-in auto-dial and auto-login features enable users to back up their files remotely to their servers in the office, or any other location.

Second Copy 2000 can also run at Windows start up and shut down, creating second copies of important data files. The two-way synchronization option allows the user to maintain files in two places, ensuring that the latest version is always available at either location.

Advanced users can create macros that specify destination directory names, and allow for date/time stamping of each backup folder. Second Copy 2000 also supports a command line interface for advanced users. Progress bars monitor backups while Second Copy maintains a log of all backup activity. Helpful online tips with multi-language support are also available.

Second Copy 2000 is a must-have product for anyone concerned with safeguarding important data.

A single-user license for Second Copy 2000 costs $29.95 and may be purchased online at http://www.centered.com. Centered Systems will provide a free upgrade to Second Copy 2000 for any users of Second Copy 97 who registered Second Copy 97 after 1 July 1999. Upgrade prices for other registered users of Second Copy 97 will be at 50% of the regular price. Network and site licenses are available. Second Copy 97 Makes Backing Up a Breeze

Centered Systems has released Second Copy 97, a Windows 95/NT utility that makes it easy and painless to back up your critical files. With its "set it and forget it" approach to safety and security, Second Copy works in the background to protect your valuable data files.

Using Second Copy's Setup Wizards, you simply tell the program where to find the files that you want to back up, where you want to put them, and how often you'd like to make copies. Second Copy's built-in scheduler will create your backups automatically, in the background, while you're running other programs. You can place your backups on any fixed or removable drives, including floppies, zip-drives, CD-RW's, or hard drives on other computers on your network.

Power users can tailor Second Copy to meet their exact backup needs. With the program's Custom Setup, you can specify the folders as well as file filters that will be included in or excluded from your backups. You can copy, move, or zip your files to their backup destination, deleting obsolete backups in the process. The program lets you maintain as many as 25 versions of your files. You can perform a two-way synchronization of your files, allowing you to maintain files in two places, and ensuring that you're always using the latest copy.

You can even use macros when specifying your destination directory names, allowing you to "date/time stamp" each backup folder. Progress bars allow you to monitor your backups, and Second Copy maintains a log of all backup activity. It also comes with a built-in zip file viewer.

Running in the background, Second Copy doesn't waste your valuable time. And, designed to back up only those files that have been updated since your last backup, Second Copy doesn't waste your computer's time.

Second Copy 97 costs $29.95 and may be ordered from PsL at (800) 242-4775, ext. 10552. For further information, contact Centered Systems at sales@centered.com. You can download a fully-functional trial version of Second Copy 97 for Windows 95/NT (or Second Copy v. 4.0 for Windows 3.1) from http://www.centered.com.
