Doesn't Byte Software has released Waste Whacker version 3.0, an easy-to-use utility that automates removing unwanted files from your hard drives.

Hard drives can be cluttered by temporary and backup files that are left behind, files with a zero-byte size, old Internet cache files, plus many others. These files can use up valuable disk space and degrade disk operations. Waste Whacker easily and safely restores hard drive space and efficiency.

Waste Whacker's easy-to-use wizard is available to define search parameters, including file types, source, age, and size. Waste Whacker's scans are both thorough and fast and report the results in a familiar Explorer-style interface. Unwanted files can be sent to the Recycle Bin, completely removed, or, to really play it safe, compressed into a zip archive. Additionally, Waste Whacker can be configured to run during Windows startup or with any scheduling utility.
