Easy Software Ltd. has released Classic Clipboard 1.0 for windows, a program which allows you to cut or copy up to nine times then paste the nine clips. Classic Clipboard also stores up to three thousand clips for re-use at any time.

With Classic Clipboard you can copy several clips and then paste them with no additional key presses or mouse clicks. Just copy in the normal way up to nine times then, instead of typing Shift+Ins or Ctrl+V, paste using Ctrl+1 for the first clip and Ctrl+2 for the second Etc. Activate the Classic Clipboard Window and you can save up to three thousand clips for re-use by dragging them from the clipboard area to the storage area. You paste your saved clips by activating the Classic Clipboard window and clicking on the clip you want. Classic Clipboard has a special area for often used clips marked Alt+A to Alt+Z. Clips dragged to this area are hot key clips and can be pasted from the keyboard without activating the window.

Classic Clipboard stores up to three thousand clips yet you can select and paste any one of them with no more than three mouse clicks. The Classic Clipboard window displays your clips in groups of about one hundred at a time and there are thirty two groups. The names of the groups are also displayed. If the clip you want is in the currently displayed group you click on the clip. If not, you click on the group that the clip is in and then on the clip you want. Classic Clipboard allows you to re-arrange your clips quickly and easily. You can change the position of clips within a group or you can move clips from one group to another by dragging. You can also copy and erase clips either individually or by groups. For text clips there is a built in editor so you can create or edit text clips entirely within the program. There is also a special pasting mode for Web browser bookmarks. With this set, pasting into a Web browser's address box automatically fetches the pasted URL.
