INTRODUCES FLIPALBUM(tm) 3.0 THE WORLD'S FIRST AUTOMATIC PICTURE ALBUM FOR DIGITAL IMAGES 3-D Page-Flipping Animation Adds Realism and User-Friendly Dimension to Digital Image Management as Digital Imaging Takes Off Mountain View, CA - E-Book Systems, Inc., has announced the release of FlipAlbum 3.0, the world's first software that automatically organizes digital images into a book-like picture album. Its three-dimensional page-flipping adds realism and intimacy to the experience of viewing personal and family pictures. FlipAlbum opens the window to a whole new way of organizing, editing, viewing and e-mailing digital images, photos and multimedia files. "FlipAlbum enters the market at a time when there is a veritable explosion in digital imagery," says Khurshiday Molla, Vice President of Marketing for E-Book Systems. "As businesses generate billions of digital images for websites and presentations and consumers begin to embrace digital photography, the need increases for a simple, yet painless way to organize these images." FlipAlbum complements such software such as Adobe PhotoDeluxe and Microsoft Picture It!, image enhancement products that generally come bundled with digital cameras and scanners. FlipAlbum takes digital imagery to the next level, enabling users to organize images into separate albums or presentations according to any occasion, topic or subject. The software automatically lays out the pictures onto album pages and generates overview pages containing thumbnails, a table of image contents, and an index. An animated page-thickness representation on the side of each album and bookmarks make it simple to refer back to previously viewed images, a valuable tool whether one is viewing personal photos or comparing digital images for professional use. FlipAlbum incorporates a wide range of useful features, including: The animated page-flipping interface makes using FlipAlbum a natural and intuitive experience compared to the static images offered by less sophisticated software. Page-flipping provides the viewer with a good overview of the entire collection of images as well as a convenient means for browsing them. Editing capabilities include adding text, making adjustments for brightness and contrast, image filters, special effects and more. A thumbnail overview of all images, a table of contents and indexes are automatically generated to easily manage, locate and email pictures. Bookmarking allows fast and easy access to specific images. Viewing options include page-flipping and slide shows. Rearranging images among albums is easy with Copy, Move, Save As, Rename and other features. Background music may be added, using holiday selections included with FlipAlbum or the music of the user's choice. FlipAlbum efficiently emails pictures to friends, family and business associates. FlipAlbum accepts images of any size. File formats accepted include BMP, GIF, JPG, PCX, WMF, ICO, PNG, PCD, PSD, TIF, MID, WAV, AVI. The quantity of images is limited only by the size of the user's hard drive. WYSIWYG print interface allows easy setting of desired image size for printing. FlipAlbum has a suggested retail price of US$49.95. The software may also be obtained via E-Book Systems' website. System Requirements: IBM PC 486 compatible or higher; Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT.
