Seven ESC Members Take Top Honors

July 18, 1998 - (Providence, Rhode Island) - Six software authors from the Educational Software Cooperative were awarded the industry's highest honors at the Shareware Industry Association Foundation's 1998 Shareware Industry Awards. The winners were:

Best Educational Program - Penny Penguin's Math Bingo from LatticeWork Software
Best Internet Program/Utility - Download Butler from Lincoln Beach Software
Best Home/Hobby Program - Everything I Own! from BlueCollar Software
Best Business/Finance Application - Financial Freedom Inventory PRO 98 from M&R Technologies
Best Word Processing Application/Utility - Yeah Write from Word Place
Best Vertical Market Program/Utility - ShortKeys 98 from Insight Software Solutions

In addition, Sam Bellotto won this year's Educational Software Cooperative People's Choice Award for his program Crossdown. The People's Choice Award is selected each year by an online vote of end users.
